Paydece limits AI to assistance instead of execution
What changed
- AI Role Redefined: AI agents no longer "execute" or "authorize" payments; they now only assist with reconciliation and answering questions.
- Execution Model: Removed claims that payments "simply happen" via agents. Now, payments are explicitly routed through third-party payment providers.
- Pricing Transparency: Changed from "optimizing the best route" to showing estimated exchange rates and commissions before a user executes a payment.
- Messaging Shift: Removed the phrase "connected to your systems, not a bank" and replaced it with a focus on connecting ERPs to payment providers.
- Feature Removal: Removed "automatic closing reports" and "custom-designed agents" in favor of standard reconciliation and multi-currency support.
Why it matters
The product is moving away from "autonomous" AI agents that move money independently. They are now positioning AI as a support tool for human teams to ensure safety and compliance.
