What Khan Academy changed

• The "Start for free" button link changed from a standard signup URL to a new transfer-auth path.
• The "Get started" button link at the bottom of the page was updated to the same new transfer-auth path.

The platform changed its primary call-to-action links from a standard signup page to a new authentication transfer path. This suggests a technical update to how they handle new user accounts or a shift in their onboarding infrastructure.

• Added a new testimonial section labeled "Student."
• Included a quote from a student named Kaden about the website being fun to use.

The site now includes the direct voice of a student to show that their learning tools are fun and engaging, not just effective for teachers and districts.

• The target audience shifted from general K-12 districts to parents and teachers of children ages 2 to 8.
• New focus on "social-emotional growth" and "creative play" alongside traditional math and literacy.
• Added specific app store links for Apple, Google Play, and Amazon.
• Introduced a $5 per student pricing model for the "Khan Academy Kids for Schools" district version.
• Replaced high school testimonials with quotes from kindergarten teachers and parents.
• Added research-backed claims, including a UMass Amherst trial showing pre-literacy gains.
• Included a new section on data privacy specifically for young children.

The page has shifted from a general K-12 district partnership pitch to a dedicated landing page for the Khan Academy Kids app. This signals a major push into the PreK-2 market, emphasizing social-emotional learning and "joyful" play-based education to differentiate from their standard academic platform.
