What Evernote changed

• The main "Get the app" download link was changed from a general website URL to a direct link to the Google Play Store.
• The footer link "Cookie Preferences" was renamed to "Your Privacy Choices."

The company is directing more web traffic specifically to the Google Play Store for mobile downloads and updating privacy terminology to meet modern compliance standards.

• The primary mobile app download link was changed from a direct Google Play URL to the main Evernote website.
• The footer link "Your Privacy Choices" was renamed to "Cookie Preferences."
• A large cookie consent and privacy management overlay was removed from the page view.

The company is centralizing how users access the app by directing traffic to their own domain rather than directly to the Google Play Store. This may be to better track attribution or manage the onboarding flow before sending users to an app store.

• Replaced the "Cookie Preferences" link with a more prominent "Your Privacy Choices" section.
• Added a detailed cookie consent banner explaining how they use data for analytics and ads.
• Introduced a new privacy dashboard that allows users to opt-out of the "sale or sharing" of personal data.
• Added support for Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals.
• Included specific toggles for technical, analytics, and profiling cookies.

Evernote is moving toward stricter data compliance by giving users more control over how their data is shared or sold. This change suggests they are preparing for tighter privacy laws or trying to build more trust with security-conscious users.
