What Discord changed

• Replaced the "Download for Mac" button with a "Download for Linux" link at the bottom of the page.
• Updated the "Log In" button destination URL from a general app link to a specific login path.
• Changed the default language label from "English (US)" to "English."

Discord is making it easier for Linux users to find and install their software directly from the main page. They also updated their login links and simplified language settings, which helps with user access and global consistency.

• Removed multiple embedded video files that demonstrated product features like streaming and activities.
• Removed a series of audio files (Audio 7 through 12) located at the bottom of the page.
• Simplified the navigation menu structure by removing redundant link repetitions.
• Adjusted the layout of the Safety and Resources sub-menus.

Discord has significantly reduced the page weight of its homepage by removing several embedded video and audio files. This likely improves page load speed and performance for new visitors.

• Added six new video files showcasing features like group chats, streaming, and activities.
• Added six new audio files to the homepage assets.
• Updated the main headline to "Group chat that’s all fun & games."
• Changed the primary download button at the bottom of the page from Linux to Mac.
• Updated the navigation menu structure to include direct links for "Discover," "Safety," and "Quests."
• Changed the default language label from "English" to "English (US)."

Discord is moving away from static images toward a more dynamic, media-rich homepage. This suggests they are trying to better demonstrate their "live" features like streaming and voice chat through direct video previews rather than just text descriptions.
